Virtual Presentation: Madrigals in Renaissance Italy
A free virtual event presented in partnership with the Vermont Italian Cultural Association, featuring Filippo Ciabatti

Bach’s Easter Oratorio + Bach’s Magnificat
Bach’s powerful works usher us into the season of renewal and hope. The Easter Oratorio and Magnificat will feature large orchestras, including woodwinds, trumpets, and timpani. Nine accomplished vocal soloists will step out from the 23-voice chorus. These longer works will be complemented by a virtuosic yet graceful motet for double chorus.

Chamber Concert: Italian Madrigals
Filippo Ciabatti curates and directs this program of intricate and intimate vocal works from his native Italy. Prepare to be moved by the deepest possible marriage of text and music by master madrigalists, including Claudio Monteverdi and Luca Marenzio.
