The Italian madrigal melded poetry and music to expressive ends that had never been reached before. Upper Valley Baroque’s Artistic Director will introduce us to these intricate and intimate vocal works from his native Italy, highlighting master madrigalists including Luca Marenzio, Carlo Gesualdo, and Claudio Monteverdi.
